Dr. Sardar Khan, a Meritorious Professor, is working as Vice Chancellor, University of Shangla, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. He has remained as Vice Chancellor of Kohat University of Science and Technology (2020-2023), Director of the Directorate of Advanced Studies, University of Peshawar (UOP: 2017-2020) and Chairman of the Department of Environmental Sciences, UOP. He is a Fellow of the Pakistan Academy of Sciences (2021) and The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS: 2024). Dr. Khan has been working as an adjunct Professor in Hunan Agriculture University and Chinese Academy of Sciences, China.
He has published more than 200 research papers with an impact factor >972, total citation is 26704 and h-index 74. He has also published one book and 6 international book chapters. He has supervised 36 PhD and 29 MPhil students. He developed biochar-based organic-fertilizer and patented it. Recovered high purity food grade calcium-carbonate from marble waste and a patent granted by Intellectual Property Organisation of Pakistan. He received the civil award Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, Gold Medal, Young International Scientist award, Best University Teacher, Productive Scientists of Pakistan, Research Productivity Awards and High citation award. He is a productive scientist of Pakistan in the field of Earth and Environmental Sciences and also ranked among the top 2% highly cited scientists.
