Shekoufeh Nikfar (SN) acquired a PharmD in 1993 and her MPH in 2003 and then finished a PhD in the field of Pharmacoeconomics and Pharmaceutical Administration in 2013 from the Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS). She gained a postdoctoral training in Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics at the University of Toronto in 2001. SN has obtained the honor of full professorship of TUMS since 2020. Since 1997, She has contributed to the establishment of the Tehran Drug and Poison Information Center for 8 years. SN was director of Research & Development Office of Deputy of Food and Drug, Ministry of Health since 1998 for 4 years  and Secretary-general of Drug Selecting Committee, Iran Food and Drug administration Ministry of Health since 2002-2018. Besides she was Research and Development deputy of Iran Food and Drug administration since January 2014-2016. SN is the Director of Personalized Medicine Research Center since 2016, Research Director of Tehran University of Medical Sciences since 2017, and Translational Percision Medicine Institute since 2019. She has been the member of the National Board of Pharmacoeconomics for 7 years. Since 2014 SN is member of evaluation and decision making committee of the Drug Discovery and Evaluation Department at the National Institute of Medical Research Development (NIMAD). She also has chaired Evidence-based Evaluation of Cost-Effectiveness and Clinical Outcomes Group, The Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (TIPS). She is President and Founder member of IRAN-ISPOR and Full Individual Member of World Organization for Women In Science (TWOWS), active member of the Campbell & Cochrane Economics Methods Group (CCEMG), International Network for the Rational Use of Drugs (INRUD) and Fellow of Iranian national elites foundation. So far, SN has contributed to authoring more than 250 papers in prestigious journals and authoring more than 10 book chapters and editing 5 books. SN has been listed among top scientists of ESI and has received recognition by the ESI as one of the top 1% scientists concurrently in the field of “Pharmacology and Toxicology”or the Clarivate Analytics.  According to Scopus, the current H-index and total citations of SN are 41 and about 6500, respectively. In addition to more than 15 prestigious awards, SN received the prominent international award of TWAS-TWOWS-Scopus Young Researcher Women Award in medicine, 2009.
